Product Description
Wattson Audio are receiving critical acclaim for producing what is effectively an entry-level CH Precision-related device. Absolute value whilst borrowing from ultra high-end principles of design and manufacturing from the Swiss giant! And at a time where many people are looking to consolidate components and space, this range from Wattson makes a lot of sense. If you're shopping for a streamer from the usual suspects such as Lumin, Aurender, Innuous, Wiim, Eversolo etc, this competes in a similar price space but has many merits worth putting it in contention!
The Wattson Audio Madison Streamer is a premium Swiss-designed network streamer and digital-to-analogue converter (DAC), combining advanced digital processing with an exceptionally refined analogue output stage. Engineered by the team behind CH Precision, it delivers outstanding musical realism, precision and flexibility in a compact chassis. Supporting PCM up to 32-bit/384kHz, DSD256, Roon Ready, Qobuz Connect, TIDAL Connect, AirPlay, UPnP/DLNA and Audirvāna, the Madison Streamer integrates effortlessly into modern high-end audio systems.
Precision Digital Playback
At the heart of the Madison Streamer is Wattson Audio's proprietary streaming platform and Spline digital filter, developed to preserve timing accuracy and minimise digital artefacts. Combined with dual-mono DAC architecture, ultra-low jitter clocking and a high-performance SHARC DSP, the Madison produces a natural, detailed and highly engaging musical presentation.
Unlike conventional digital filters, Wattson's Spline technology prioritises time-domain accuracy, delivering more realistic transients, greater tonal coherence and improved musical flow.
High-Quality Analogue Performance
The Madison features a carefully engineered low-noise power supply and fully balanced analogue output stage, allowing it to drive power amplifiers, integrated amplifiers or preamplifiers with exceptional clarity and dynamic control. Balanced XLR, RCA and headphone outputs provide flexible system integration.
A proprietary 64-bit digital volume control, developed in collaboration with CH Precision, maintains excellent linearity and transparency while enabling direct connection to power amplifiers.
Built for Long-Term Performance
Designed and manufactured entirely in Switzerland, the Madison Streamer features a precision-machined aluminium chassis, premium internal components and regularly updated in-house firmware to ensure ongoing compatibility with the latest streaming services and features.
