The VENOM AU8 is a reference grade Australian plug power distributor designed for high-current applications including multi-component media systems and high-end 2-channel audio systems.
The AU-8 is effectively a PS-8 with AU outlets but also with a built-in Shunyata Defender module.
The VENOM AU8 is power distributor that is ideal for computer or music server based systems. Media based music systems use several digital or processing components associated with the computer (server). They are often made with commodity power supplies that put out significant amounts of power line noise. The AU8 was designed specifically to segregate or “firewall” the computer and digital related components -- preventing them from polluting the performance of your high-end analog components.
The AU8 is Shunyata’s most complete, multi-function, high-current power distributor. Essentially, the AU8 contains two completely separate power conditioners starting from the power inlet. The AU8 uses Shunyata’s finest Filter arrays within the analog section to reduce noise and enhance performance while still allowing for maximum current-delivery to even the most power hungry amplifiers.
The AU8 also features on-board surge, spike and over-current protection with a built-in status L.E.D. indicator.

SCALABLE PERFORMANCE
Higher levels of performance can be achieved with optional components.
1) The AU8 to wall power cable can be upgraded to a ΞTRON power cord for improved performance.
2) The SSF (stainless steel feet) from the HYDRA line of conditioners can be used with the AU-8 to improve vibration control and enhance overall performance.
The flexibility and ultimate utility of the Venom AU-8 allows the customer to determine the level of performance desired and accessory package at the time of purchase, or it can be upgraded through careful audition later.

If you have invested in any level of sound system not having an AU-8 power strip aboard needs serious thought.
