Esoteric MagneDrive Technology
At the heart of the T-01 is Esoteric’s patented MagneDrive System, a revolutionary contact-free drive mechanism. By eliminating conventional physical contact between the motor and platter drive system, MagneDrive helps minimise unwanted mechanical vibration and contributes to the T-01’s exceptionally quiet and precise operation.
The high-torque motor provides excellent rotational stability, supporting accurate pitch reproduction and powerful, dynamic bass performance.
Magne-Float Platter Technology
The T-01 features Esoteric’s innovative Magne-Float platter technology, which dramatically reduces the effective mass of the platter from approximately 13kg to just 4kg. This reduces the load placed on the spindle bearing, helping minimise bearing friction while maintaining the benefits of a substantial, vibration-resistant platter. Combined with the T-01’s inverted bearing system, this sophisticated mechanical architecture provides exceptionally smooth and stable platter rotation.
Precision Motor Control & 10MHz Clock Synchronisation
A high-qualityMaster Sound Discrete Clock motor driver provides highly accurate control of platter rotation, contributing to precise timing and exceptional pitch stability. For systems incorporating an Esoteric master clock, the T-01 supports10MHz external clock synchronisation, including integration with the G-01XD and G-05 master clocks. This allows the turntable to benefit from an ultra-precise external reference clock for even greater rotational accuracy.
Triple-Layer Chassis Construction
The T-01 employs a sophisticated triple-layer chassis construction combining aluminium and wood, engineered to control unwanted vibration and provide a stable foundation for high-precision analogue playback. The mid-chassis is finished in a luxurious high-gloss piano lacquer, combining functional engineering with the distinctive aesthetic expected of a premium Esoteric component. A dedicated Vibration Absorber Case further contributes to the T-01’s remarkably quiet motor operation, helping isolate mechanical energy from the sensitive analogue playback system.
Separate Power Supply
The T-01 adopts a high-end separate-units architecture, comprising the main turntable unit and a compact external power supply. Separating the power supply from the main chassis helps improve operational efficiency and contributes to effective electrical and mechanical isolation.
Advanced Vibration Isolation
Specialised isolation feet combine aspike, spike pad and damper into an integrated design, providing effective vibration suppression and anti-feedback performance. This carefully engineered support system helps maintain the stability required for high-resolution vinyl playback.
Accurate Speed Adjustment
The T-01 supports both 33â…“ rpm and 45 rpm record speeds, with fine speed adjustment available in0.1% increments. This provides precise control over platter speed and allows users to optimise rotational accuracy for demanding analogue playback.
Flexible Tonearm Configuration
The Esoteric T-01 is available with theTA-9S static-balance tonearm or as a standalone turntable. Its flexible architecture can accommodate up to two tonearms, with optional arm-board configurations available to suit different tonearm setups and listening preferences.
