The LUMIN T3 is a digital network player (streamer) and D/A converter in one. It's Roon-ready if you choose to run that, or you can use it stand-alone with LUMIN's own user interface. Stream your local music stored on either a USB hard drive connected directly to the unit, music stored on your NAS drive, or stream from the internet via Tidal, Qobuz, Spotify or the internet radio. It can also be used with Apple AirPlay.
The T3 has its own built-in DAC, but unlike the LUMIN D2, you can also output digital via USB if you want to use a different external DAC. This offers some additional flexibility if you want to change things up, or future-proof your digital setup to an extent.
