Standard equipment on VPI's Scout series turntables, the VPI delrin clamp does an excellent job of reducing the effects of external vibration from interacting with the stylus. This improves focus and pacing, adding weight and power to the sonic presentation.
Using VPI's delrin clamp can also help reduce (and in some cases eliminate) record warpage and create a much tighter seal between the record and the turntable platter. The clamp essentially "locks" the record to the platter, reducing vibration typically picked up by the cartridge that colours the sound.
